SPC Wall Panels — Stone Plastic Composite Wall Cladding
The rigid core is the difference: SPC moves less than PVC foam, so long walls stay true and joints stay closed in heated buildings.

SPC Wall Panels overview
SPC is a rigid composite of limestone powder, PVC and stabilisers. Applied to walls, its value is dimensional stability — a rigid core expands far less than a foam board, so a 6 metre run of panel does not open at the joints when a building heats up. In temperature-controlled hotels that is the failure most often reported against cheaper wall systems.
Because the panel is rigid, it can be click-locked for a demountable wall, or bonded for a permanent finish. Demountable installation matters for offices and retail units where the tenant changes and the wall has to come down without damage.
The surface is a decorative film under a UV or matte wear layer, which gives an abrasion resistance closer to a floor product than a wall product. That is why SPC wall panels are specified in corridors and lift lobbies where a standard wall panel would scuff within a year.

Where it is used
- Hotel bathrooms, corridors and lift lobbies
- Demountable office partitions and retail fit-outs
- Healthcare and education corridors
- Wet rooms and service areas
How it is installed
- For click-lock installation, start from a plumb corner and maintain a 5 mm expansion gap at every abutment.
- For bonded installation, apply adhesive in a full bed; spot-bonding a rigid panel telegraphs through the face.
- Cut with a fine-tooth blade; support the sheet on both sides of the cut to avoid chipping the wear layer.
- Seal wet-zone joints with a colour-matched neutral-cure mastic rather than relying on the click joint alone.
SPC Wall Panels — buyer questions
SPC wall panel or UV marble sheet?
UV marble sheet is thinner, glossier and cheaper, and is the right answer for a decorative feature wall. SPC has the rigid core, better impact resistance and better dimensional stability on long runs — choose it for corridors, wet rooms and demountable partitions.
Can SPC wall panels be installed over existing tiles?
Yes, bonded directly, provided the tile face is sound, flat and clean. Grout lines will not telegraph through a rigid 5 mm panel, which is one advantage over a thin foam board.
Is the click joint waterproof?
The panel is waterproof; the joint is not a water seal. In a shower or a wet zone, always seal the joint with mastic. Relying on a click joint to keep water out of a wall cavity is the most common installation error we see.
